About Mavericks House
Mavericks House was originally built as a boathouse in the early 1980s in historic Princeton by the Sea. In 2009, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company took over and turned it into the beautiful oceanfront event space it is today. Mavericks House is named for the most famous big wave break on the continental US, Mavericks, which is just up the road from Mavericks House.
Now, Mavericks House is an oceanfront venue conveniently located between San Francisco and Silicon Valley – perfect for your wedding, business meeting, or special event. It sits on a large waterfront bluff with an indoor event space that can accommodate up to 140 guests, along with a spacious outdoor deck and harbor view garden.

Meet Our Team
Lisa Graye, Director of Events
Lisa leads our private event department and oversees the planning and execution of all corporate, private, and social events. Lisa has been handling events for more than 18 years and credits an early client who demanded perfection for giving her the drive that continues today. Lisa understands the importance of listening and understanding each client’s specific needs. She then uses her dedication and warmth to help clients turn their vision into magic and memories.
Brittani Byrne, Event Manager
As the Event Manager at Mavericks House, Brittani is responsible for planning and oversees the production of each event. Since High School, Brittani knew she wanted to plan weddings and events for a living, with that dream leading to her career at Mavericks House in 2021 as the Event Coordinator. Beginning her hospitality journey in the restaurant industry over 8 years ago, Brittani’s knack for organization and genuine love for planning helps her achieve each client's vision, making it come to life. Brittani’s upbeat and bubbly personality generates a comfortable environment for her clients, creating authentic connections throughout the planning process.
Constantino “Tino” Luis, Banquet Chef
Constantino began his culinary journey as a teenager working in the kitchen of fast casual restaurants. After a family mentor shared their favorite recipes with Tino, he was inspired to create more. Tino began working at Half Moon Bay Brewing Company in 2012 and quickly became an integral part of the culinary team, moving up through the ranks and becoming Banquet Chef in July of 2019. Tino is dedicated to using only the freshest seafood and is looking forward to integrating his love of fresh fish into the private events menu.

HMB Brewing opened in 2000 becoming the first operating brewery on the San Mateo Coast since 1873. They have since become a local staple and favorite for both locals and travelers alike. Half Moon Bay Brewing Company has been selected as one of America’s Best Beach Bars by Travel + Leisure, one of America’s Top Ten Craft Breweries by Men’s Fitness, and as having one of the Best Clam Chowders Outside of New England by Food Network.
